Wootton St George U15's are looking for an assistant coach to help out, learn the ropes and run the line on match days.
We have a level 1 qualified coach who will show you how its done, and when you're ready, the club will help you with your qualifications, although you will not be under any pressure to do courses if you don't want to.

Gregory Celtic will again be hosting an extended 6-a-Side and 11-a-Side competition at the Northampton Casuals Rugby Football Club, Old Bedford Road, Northampton.
This will take place on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June with games in each age group commencing at 11.00am for the following age groups for the current season: -
Sat 7th Mini Soccer 6-a-Side: Under 9 and Under 10 mixed and Under 12 Girls; 11-a-side: Under 12 Boys;
Sun 8th Mini Soccer 6-a-Side: Under 8 mixed; 11-a-side: Under 11 Boys and Under 13 Boys
(Age Qualification Date for ALL Age Groups is 1st September 2007, ie: 2007/2008 Age Groups)
The format will be ten teams in each age group, split into two groups of five to guarantee each team a minimum of four matches of ten minutes duration, and the maximum numbers of players that can be registered per team are 10 for Mini Soccer and 15 for 11-a-Side. There will be no exceptions to this Rule.
The entry fees are £25 per 6-a-Side team and £35 per 11-a-Side team.

On Friday 18 April the Under 16s Reps side played Leicester 16s Reps side that had not been beated in the last 2 years but found Northampton to strong for them with the team made up of 17 players from 8 teams from the Under 16s A league.
With end to end football and many good efforts it could of been 4-4 but the only goal come from a nice cross by Ben Carter for Jo Merrell to drill the ball into the top corner from 20 yards.
Well done lads you did the town credit.

Wootton St George FC is looking to add players to their team who will be playing 11-a-side football next season.
We currently have 11 players registered for our team and are looking to strengthen our squad for next season.

I am pleased to invite you to participate in this year's Woodley Hammers Small-Sided Tournament to be held at the Berkshire College of Agriculture, Burchetts Green, Maidenhead.
Unfortunately last year we were unable to hold our tournament due to a lack of a suitable venue. We are delighted this year to move our successful tournament from its former venue of Bulmershe School in Woodley which is under development to the Berkshire College of Agriculture. Gregory Celtic will again be hosting an extended 6-a-Side and 11-a-Side competition at the Northampton Casuals Rugby Football Club, Old Bedford Road, Northampton. This will take place on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June with games in each age group commencing at 11.00am for the following age groups for the current season: -
Sat 7th Mini Soccer 6-a-Side: Under 9 and Under 10 mixed and Under 12 Girls
11-a-side: Under 12 Boys
Sun 8th Mini Soccer 6-a-Side: Under 8 mixed
11-a-side: Under 11 Boys and Under 13 Boys
(Age Qualification Date for ALL Age Groups is 1st September 2007, ie: 2007/2008 Age Groups)
The format will be ten teams in each age group, split into two groups of five to guarantee each team a minimum of four matches of ten minutes duration, and the maximum numbers of players that can be registered per team are 10 for Mini Soccer and 15 for 11-a-Side. There will be no exceptions to this Rule.
The entry fees are £25 per 6-a-Side team and £35 per 11-a-Side team.

MK Wanderers are holding their 6-a-side Summer Tournament over the weekend of Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June 2008, again at Kents Hill, Milton Keynes.
They invite entries from clubs at any age group from Under 7 to Under 17 inclusive but unlike other tournaments there is no restriction on the number of teams you wish to enter in a particular age group.
For the first time ever they are also holding a Ladies competition this year. The minimum age for players in this section is 16 or over.

There has been some confusion over contracted players. When a youth players signs for a professional club they are no longer allowed to play for any of our teams.
If a player then decides he no longer wishes to play for the professional club, the league club needs to contact the professional team and check if he can be released, BUT most professional clubs do not release there players until the end of their season.

FA Charter Standard Development Club Moulton Fields FC would like to offer other Charter Standard Clubs the opportunity for their Goalkeepers to have weekly specialised goalkeeper coaching with 'A' license GK Coach Lee Reade at their Moulton College facility on a Friday Evening, 6pm - 7pm.
Spaces are limited and are at a cost of £5.00 per session.
Lee Reade is the current GK Coach for Northampton Town FC Centre of Excellence and also GK Coach for Arsenal Soccer Schools, Lee has also worked as GK Coach for MK Dons FC.

Brixworth Juniors will be holding their annual tournament on Sunday 18th May.
This year we will be inviting entries from the following age groups:- Boys u9’s, u10’s, u11’s, Girls u15’s
The aim of the tournament will be to give the maximum amount of football to all competing teams. For each age group there will be two mini leagues with the two top teams in each league competing for a cup and the bottom two for a plate, all teams will play in a semi-final.

Saturday 19th July 2008 for Boys: under 7’s, 8’s, 9’s and 10’s; and for Girls: under 12’s and 14’s and on:

Kevin, a former Gregory Celtic goalkeeper, sadly lost his life in a road accident on Wednesday, aged just 26.
Kevin played for six seasons in the team managed by his father, Sammy, having come up through the ranks at St Mary's School on Saturday mornings in the days before Mini Soccer Leagues.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Kevin's family - Sam, his mother Sheila, sister Lisa and brother Sean.
The NDYAL would ask that your players and their opponents' this weekend share a minute's silence before kick-off in Kevin's memory.

Here is the regular annual reminder that, if at all possible, reports by e-mail should preferably be in the Chronicle's format please, NOT just an e-mail of the league document form.
They can then copy and paste the report easily into the paper instead of having to be re-typed.
An example of their format is as follows:

If your reports are in this format, they are less likely to be 'edited'. There is an example of a completed report in this format available on the League Documents page. Please use this if possible. Thank you.

| Match Reports - A Note from the Chron & Echo |
Due to staffing levels and the amazing growth of the John Henry League, reports that are significantly above the 50-words limit will this season have to be cut from publication and they will only print the result, scorers and team list.
The 'cutting down' of report sizes takes a large amount of time that, with so many teams this year, they simply haven't got!
Managers are keen to promote their teams' achievements, but to have some reports approaching 150-200 words (as many do) is just not acceptable.
The fact is, they are not going to have the space in a 12-page pull-out to print these.
So please ENSURE that reports must be around the 50-word mark. If you stick to this, then your reports will get in. If they don't then there can be no guarantees.
Secondly, please submit your reports by email as opposed to fax as much as possible? This will greatly assist the C & E also in putting together 'On The Ball' every week.
It would also greatly assist them if reports could be submitted to the Results Secretary at the earliest opportunity, with the deadline being Tuesday evenings for fax and email.
